About Best Time to Visit Guide

Last updated June 2026

In one line

A month-by-month travel guide that tells you when to visit a country — and which region within it — without making you read a 3,000-word blog.

Who built this

Khyati Maloo — travel writer and custom itinerary planner based in India. Her work has appeared in Deccan Herald, Outlook Traveller, Hindustan Times, Travel + Leisure and Air India's in-flight magazine.

Why it exists

Most "best time to visit" articles give one answer for an entire country. That's almost always wrong:

  • Hokkaido and Okinawa share nothing weather-wise.
  • North and south Vietnam can be 15°C apart in the same week.
  • Italy's Alps and Sicily are practically different countries.

This site answers the regional question properly, in plain language.

What you'll find here

Region-by-region calendars

Every country broken into its real travel regions, each with its own month-by-month rating.

Honest off-seasons

If a month is bad, we say so — no "shoulder season is magical" spin.

From India context

Visa, flight time, vegetarian food and budget tier for Indian travellers. See From India.

Side-by-side comparisons

Japan vs Korea, Italy vs Greece, and more — month by month. See Comparisons.

How it's researched

Every page combines national weather data, official festival calendars, government travel advisories and on-the-ground itinerary planning. Pages are reviewed at least once a year.
